Freedom is a basic human desire. Everyone wants freedom in one form or another, whether it be financial, political, or religious. Freedom is important to us and it’s how we express ourselves. As a Christian who markets online, I find that my focus is often on the spiritual and the financial even though I know True Freedom can only be found in Jesus Christ. Galatians 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
TWO SIDES OF THE FREEDOM COIN
Not surprisingly, the Bible does say a lot about freedom, despite the fact that many think of it as just a book of restrictive rules. Actually, if you’re willing to consider it, the Holy Bible can help us to distinguish between what it means for us to be free from something and to be free to do or be something.
It is fascinating that much of the freedoms we look for today are viewed as ends in themselves, as the last objective to be obtained.
It’s as though we think that once our particular freedom is achieved, all our problems will be solved.
If you’ve spent any amount of time trying to make money online, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. For example, most of the marketing copywriting you see on sales pages will convey this message in one form or another “Buy this and your problems will be solved!”.
Why do we fall for such nonsense every time? Because we’ll have freedom! LOL right? 😉 I digress.
