People use all kind of excuses in order to not pray. Some of the most common excuses are, “I don’t know how to pray”,”How do I know God is really listening?”,”I feel self-conscious when praying”, and ”I just don’t have the time to pray!”. Do any of these sound familiar to you? Prayer plays a vital role in our relationship with the Heavenly Father. When we make excuses not to pray we are telling God He is not important to us.Continue reading
Our life is rooted in the redemptive work of the hands of God through Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself said, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10)
The Lord then expects fruits from our lives. He wants our life to be productive due to the indwelling presence of His Spirit in us (Galatians 5:22-23) and because of our pledge to serve Him as our God. Yet, because of our lack of discipline and focus, we become barren and stagnant bystanders not only in our relationship and service to God but to others and to our community as well. It is important then to be reminded that as Christians, the Lord called us to be “lights” and “salts” of the earth. In other words, He wants our life to be beneficial; that just as He offered His life for our salvation and blessing we would also dedicate our lives to productive purposes that will glorify Him, bless others, and benefit our society.Continue reading

When we hear the word ‘drugs’, it conjures all sorts of images – probably most of those images are negative.
Drugs get a bad name from the damage caused when misused and abused. However, the primary purpose of drugs is to be beneficial to mankind. In medicine, they are useful in many processes of healing and have relieved a great deal of suffering.
It is ironic, then, that many have benefited from using drugs, while others have destroyed their lives because of them.Continue reading
This explanation is dependent on one’s own feelings, but love as God intended it’s a choice, it’s an action word. It’s certainly not an emotion or feeling which you want to accept or prevent but love is the basis of our way of life as Christian believers as well as the foundation of our human relationships through Christ Jesus.Continue reading
Jesus once asked his disciples that same question that what do people called him, and they were able to tell Him people’s different opinion about His person and ministry. Some called Him Elijah, some called him one of the prophets, and so on, but all of them were wrong.
Jesus was not perturbed by what people outside the circle of His disciples will call Him, after all they have limited access to Him, but he turned and asked His disciples, what they called Him. Peter answered that He is the Messiah Mark 8:29, the son of the living God, to which Jesus answered that it was His father that revealed that to him and not blood and flesh.Continue reading
Forgiveness is one of the major conditions for answered prayers, it is so important that it appears in the Lord’s prayer as a condition that we have to meet for us to earn forgiveness from God, but it is unfortunate that as important as forgiveness is many Christians still go about harboring hatred, malice, and unforgiving spirit against others, many just believe that the situation that made them not to forgive others Is different from what the bible is talking about, and that God should understand why they cannot forgive.Continue reading

Everyone who belongs to Christ has been translated from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of light, which is the kingdom of God. That is a cheering news because what it means is that such people are now free from all harassment of the devil, and they can remain permanently so for the rest of their lives if only they have the knowledge of how to maintain their freedom in Christ.
The bible says when an evil spirit is driven out of a man, he will go to dry places looking for where to make his abode, but because demons always love to stay in a host, preferably human beings, it will come back to his former house to check whether he can still make a comeback, and if he finds that the former host has not been filled with the Spirit of God, he will go and look for seven other more powerful demons to come and re-inhabit the man, making his life worse than before.
Because of the above revelation, children of God must not joke with keeping themselves in the freedom that they have obtained from Christ. The word of God tells us to stay in the liberty whereby Christ had made us free and not to entangle ourselves with the yoke of bondage anymore.Continue reading
When God calls you to become His channel of blessings, expect difficulties and hindrances. But at the same time, rest assured also that even before difficulties come your way, God has already and potentially enabled you to overcome all hindrances. This is the lesson that we can learn from the life of Moses when God was calling him for a mission. It’s recorded in Exodus chapters 3 and 4.
God as an all-knowing God already knew in advance all of the difficulties that Moses will go through even before he encounters them. And so, to equip and enable him to fulfill the work, the Lord has empowered him in all areas of his weakness and limitations. For a quick view, let’s just consider the 3 general areas of Moses’ weaknesses which he gladly presented to God just to excuse himself away from the burden of the call. They are the following,Continue reading
Work is an manifestation of existence, life, and an expression of purpose. Even before the issue of sin had entered into the world, work was already given to the first Man. God gave him job descriptions with the simple and realistic “how-to’s” of accomplishing it.
Now, I’m aware that the business industry is deemed to be the voice of authority for defining and determining work today. However, I believe that the existence of work is not Man-made. It was rather originated and exemplified first of all by the divine Creator. He taught how to work by displaying the work of His hands before us, around us, within us, and everywhere. Hence, “Creation” does not only show the power of God, for us to behold and admire.Continue reading
