Dwelling in Christ Given Freedom

Freedom in Christ

Our Freedom In Christ

Independence Day
Everyone who belongs to Christ has been translated from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of light, which is the kingdom of God. That is a cheering news because what it means is that such people are now free from all harassment of the devil, and they can remain permanently so for the rest of their lives if only they have the knowledge of how to maintain their freedom in Christ.

The bible says when an evil spirit is driven out of a man, he will go to dry places looking for where to make his abode, but because demons always love to stay in a host, preferably human beings, it will come back to his former house to check whether he can still make a comeback, and if he finds that the former host has not been filled with the Spirit of God, he will go and look for seven other more powerful demons to come and re-inhabit the man, making his life worse than before.
Because of the above revelation, children of God must not joke with keeping themselves in the freedom that they have obtained from Christ. The word of God tells us to stay in the liberty whereby Christ had made us free and not to entangle ourselves with the yoke of bondage anymore.Continue reading

God Can Use You – Hindrances

God Can Use You

Hindrances to Obedience (Exodus 3 and 4)
God Can Use You

When God calls you to become His channel of blessings, expect difficulties and hindrances. But at the same time, rest assured also that even before difficulties come your way, God has already and potentially enabled you to overcome all hindrances. This is the lesson that we can learn from the life of Moses when God was calling him for a mission. It’s recorded in Exodus chapters 3 and 4.

God as an all-knowing God already knew in advance all of the difficulties that Moses will go through even before he encounters them. And so, to equip and enable him to fulfill the work, the Lord has empowered him in all areas of his weakness and limitations. For a quick view, let’s just consider the 3 general areas of Moses’ weaknesses which he gladly presented to God just to excuse himself away from the burden of the call. They are the following,Continue reading

To Work Like God

work as unto the lord

Work is a divine gift. Do all the good you can while you can.
Work is Good

Work is an manifestation of existence, life, and an expression of purpose. Even before the issue of sin had entered into the world, work was already given to the first Man. God gave him job descriptions with the simple and realistic “how-to’s” of accomplishing it.

Now, I’m aware that the business industry is deemed to be the voice of authority for defining and determining work today. However, I believe that the existence of work is not Man-made. It was rather originated and exemplified first of all by the divine Creator. He taught how to work by displaying the work of His hands before us, around us, within us, and everywhere. Hence, “Creation” does not only show the power of God, for us to behold and admire.Continue reading

Expectation – a Major Step to Divine Intervention

expectation

God expects anyone who will come to Him for help to do so with expectation.

One has to be full of faith up to the level that the fellow believes that he has what he desires already. That is a secret that will always work to make divine visitation possible.

expectation

When you have expectation, it means you have a promise from someone. God has given us promises to assure us that we can come to Him to receive whatever we lack, and that He will answer us. You must know how to rely on the promises of God, because once God has spoken, it is done. He has the resources, and the ability to bring His promises to pass, He is not depending on any external factor which can change and make it impossible for Him to do what He wants to do.

God is not a man that should lie, nor the son of man that should repent; once He has spoken he will do it. If you have understood God this way, it will not be difficult for you to be full of expectations when you want Him to do something for you.Continue reading

Why Some Christians Have Financial Problems

Christians and money

Many Christians throughout the world struggle with financial issues.

Although many Christians believe in their hearts, souls and spirits that God is in charge, and can easily provide for them in their time of need,  they still struggle financially. How is this possible?

in God we trust

In truth, there are a number of reasons why this state of affairs can occur. One potential source of difficulty is a lack of financial understanding. For some, the basic principles of budgeting, investing, and even money in general were never learned. However, by admitting that they are lacking in this area, a Christian can easily and quickly gain the guidance that they need through prayer, studying of God’s Word and honest fellowship with other Christians.Continue reading

Abraham Lincoln – Honest Abe

I think it is safe to assume that anyone with even a slight knowledge of the American history has at least heard of Abraham Lincoln. He was the 16th President of the USA and one of the most memorable men to occupy The White House.

Early life

Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809, in Kentucky. Raised by parents who were, according to him, “of undistinguished families”, young Lincoln became familiar with hard work at an early age. When he was nine years old, his mother died of Milk Sickness. His father remarried afterwards and Abraham became very close with his stepmother. Though his father did not receive any education, Abraham worked hard to not follow his father in that aspect. He was self-educated and was an avid reader (kids who hate studying should see this). He also wrestled as a youngster and was quite good at it. When he later started his working career, he carried on his trend of hard work and excellence. The fact that he studied law all by himself is proof of his determination. But he did not become a lawyer very soon. At first, he ran a small store in Illinois, where he lived. Later, he served as a postmaster and a country surveyor. He took his first steps into politics when he campaigned for Illinois General Assembly. He was a good speaker and that worked to his advantage. In 1840, Abraham met Mary Todd, and became engaged to her. After cancelling the first date of marriage, they were finally married on November 1842. Together they had four children: Robert, Edward, Willie and Thomas. Sadly, Robert was their only child to survive till adulthood.Continue reading

You are not an Accident

Your Life Purpose

You are not an Accident but An Asset in the Hand of God

Hans Urs von Balthazar

Some parents will jokingly tell their children, “you were an accident”, meaning they didn’t really plan on having them. This is simply not so with our heavenly Father. Yes you are not an accident, you may look at yourself and all you can say is that nature has not been favorable to you because of cycles of woes in your life, which does not mean that you are an accident.

God wants you to have a good understanding of who you are, that will go a long way to help you live the right life He purposed for you. You have been created in the image and the likeness of God; you are a replica of God. That is not a status to be despised. God created innumerable creatures but then He decided to create man to be like himself, hence every single human being you can see today have been crafted after the image of The Almighty.Continue reading

Dream Killers

Dream Killer Story told from the book of Genesis 37:12-33

when-brothers-dont-act-like-brothers

Even though for Joseph’s brothers his dreams were just product of child’s playful imagination, but it is interesting to note how it deeply affected them to the core of their being. Their envious hatred towards Joseph was deep rooted to the point that they want to kill him whenever they have an opportunity to do so.

Indeed, envy is the mother of all killings, “for jealousy is the rage of a man” (Proverbs 6:32). The reason why they can’t accept Joseph’s dreams was because they’re envious of him. Envy will make you see others as a threat, an enemy, and a hindrance to what you want. Therefore, the best way for an envious person to remove the hindrance out of his way is to destroy it. In the case of Joseph’s brethren, murder is their means against Joseph. And if you’ll observe the story very carefully, you’ll see how their intention of murder just burst out naturally from within them.Continue reading
